Home sweet home

Here are the pictures from my trip to New York.

Some highlights:

  • Scaring the hell out of my mom and friends as I navigated the NY subways for the first time from JFK to Manhattan with my phone turned off at 3 in the morning. No one heard from me for 4 hours. My mom was so scared she sent my relatives to pick me up at the airport even though I wasn’t there anymore, causing them to wait for hours for nothing.
  • Seeing the final exhibition for the Parsons summer program.
  • Had the best clubbing experience ever. DJ + live band + Jamaican music.
  • Rich and I sneaking into the Parsons dorms past curfew. Long story, but it was epic. Distracting the guard, crawling past his desk, avoiding cameras, evading RAs. I was a ninja 5 Halloweens in a row, so this was a dream come true.
  • Watching two spectacular musicals (Spring Awakening and Les Miserables), and meeting Lea Salonga after Les Mis.
  • Spending time with my quirky relatives, who happen to be the only family on my dad’s side that I know.
  • Coming home with almost all of my money because my family and Camille’s cousin wouldn’t let me pay for anything. Not even $300 worth of clothes.
  • Meeting new people.
